Hey you guys, I checked you info out and you could be right. According to Jim Benjaminson (Plymouth 1946-1959 author) the letter following the model number, LP2 in this case determines the plant it was manufactured at. The interesting thing about this is for a Detroit car there is no additional letter. So a Detroit car would be LP2 and then a serial number, an LA car would be LP2L and then the serial number, LP2N would be a Newark car and so on. I misread the book when I went over there. This car was made in LA as it is a LP2L car. Would make sense in that owner claims car has been in the Oregon Washington area for at least the last twenty years.Sorry about the confusion.
