Interesting. I'm going to have to dig out my old 60's Weiand 4-barrel manifold and compare it to that picture. I don't seem to recall it having that much flat center surface. And really most single plane manifolds are not advertised as having a powerband that starts from IDLE (most single plane manifolds start at 2500+ rpm). One thing though,I recall comments that Weiand manifolds didn't make as much torque as the stock iron pieces on a mild-cam poly,WHICH would support that it's single plane. Hmmm....
