There is no difference in the fluid path of either air-coled or liquid cooled Torque Converter autos (Powerflite or A466 T-flite). When you install a tranmission oil cooler, all you are doing is to divert part of the flow through the cooler, and since the lines are larger than the drilled internal passage, more fluid goes through the cooler. An air-cooled Torque Converter with a transmission cooler is a safe way to keep these old beasts running.
