Similar question here. I have a 57 K6-D100 geared so low it has to scream at 45mph (not good for the old flathead six) and first gear is rarely used. There's a higher geared rear (I think it's a 3:23) in a 58 or 59 Dodge in a local junkyard -- hard to tell since only part of the frame is left --that looks like it might swap out just fine. But is that ratio too much for the flathead to push even if I don't plan on doing any hauling with the truck? Pete
