Your pan choices are limited to rear sump (1952 through 1956), and mid-sump (1957). No passenger car DeSoto was ever produced with a front sump pan, and the Industrial 19-A engine pretty much had an elongated rear sump for more capacity. Best choice of action if a mid-sump will not clear is to have a talented speed shop slice off the pan just above the sump and reverse it. Then make sure you make a n extension for the pump pickup to match up.
