the idea of twin engine cars has been around for a while, and the only one i have ever seen was a GM test mule chevy citation. It was rwd only, which means they had succesfully mated two engines to one common driveshaft. The front engine drove the car the majority of the time, but if you wanted extra power you could push a button and start the rear engine...each motor made something like 220 HP so combined you had yourself a pretty well balanced 440 HP citation. The real nightmare would be in getting each engine running exactly the same, and at the exact same RPM. I suppose with todays new computer controlled engines that would be possible, but with two old carbed engines? whew...good thing i didnt have to mess with it. Jon
